Getting Up!

Victory

Sysco Truck for Saveur magazine

For an article called “The Green Giant” in Saveur magazine about Sysco’s move towards being more environmentally friendly. This image was then used by Sysco as limited edition prints.

House Corn. For an article about developing real estate.

A Meyer Lemon  Tree. For an article about the joy of nuturing a Meyer Lemon tree in a small back yard in California.

The Majestic

A view from inside his boat. From a personal manuscript, entitled The Majestic, about a young mans journey around sailing around the world.

A  cover image for Notre Damne Business Magazine. The cover article was about being a good boss during difficult times. The art director wanted to show various business managers struggling under the weight of difficult decisions. I created four illustrations in total that were used throughout the magazine and the journals website.

For Saveur Magazine. It was a pretty straight forward assignment, but it close to home . . . I live across the street from a meat packing plant. I put the lamb silhouette under a would be tree shadow so the silhouette wouldn’t look to cut out. It ended up feeling a bit like Ferdinand the Bull, which helped me connect to the assignment.

Must Have Been A Beautiful Baby, Traveling Show, Society of Illustrators

Label image for GNC supplement.

Contenders slugging it out.

Not to spook any trout, quietly, Martin slips from the shadows of the rocky shore into the river’s cool water and the warmth of summer’s morning light.

An unlikely fish bowl story. But what if . . .

This little jar of chicken fat and it’s friend the dried sausage are part of an article about smuggling old world Brooklyn delicacies through Canada’s tight security.

Pete – you don’t know me but I met Nicole last night at Lucy’s – because I was writing in my sketch book. She had mentioned your art so I am taking a look. I have to say, very nice work with unique style and consistency. Also nice how you go from fine art to illustrative without missing a beat.
